Pommerening Massage Therapy  Established in 1948 as Pommerening Health Studio and later as Pommerening Therapy Center.  Pommerening Massage Therapy is one of the oldest family massage therapy practices in the United States.

    MISSION STATEMENT of Bruce Pommerening: 

I understand it is my responsibility to see each client as a unique person. I strive to present therapeutic care  that reflects the individual needs and goals of my clients. My goal for each of my clients is to encourage personal growth and an understanding of their condition.  This in turn will allow each client to take better control of their health and wellbeing.

  • Bruce Pommerening CMT began his career by apprenticing for three years with his father Warren Pommerening in his massage therapy practice.  During this time Bruce trained in the Ingham Method of Foot Reflexology. In 1982 Bruce graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Ontario Canada where he received an accumulative 2450 hours of training through the college and personal interning with Edith Szasz Dean of CCMH.  He has over 250 hours of continuing education which includes Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, CranioSacral Therapy, Mobilization Therapy, Chronic Pain Management, & Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. Bruce has practiced in the Holland / Zeeland area for the past 30 years in private practice where he specializes in Palliative, Neuromuscular, CranioSacral & Myofascial therapies.  Bruce spent eight years teaching massage therapy.  He is a third generation Massage Therapist.
  • Warren Pommerening RMT has been practicing Massage Therapy & Reflexology for the past 61 years. Mr. Pommerening was head of Physical Therapy at Camp Lejeune Marine Base during the Korean War, was personally trained by Eunice Ingham in Foot Reflexology, & is Past President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. Mr. Pommerening was a pioneer in state law and licensing for massage therapists in the state of Michigan during the 1950s and ‘60s. Mr. Pommerening continues to maintain a part-time practice.

·    Arthur Pommerening practiced massage and the Ingham method of reflexology with his son Warren from 1948 - 1962.  Arthur Pommerening maintained a successful practice where he was known for his steam bath treatments and massage.
